Notes
Nothing about this phone is dumb when you take it out of the box. What it has is the size. At 5.4 inches and 141 grams it is the smallest iPhone with a modern screen, and Apple still sends it the current iOS, so it is not the security problem an abandoned handset is. The quieting is yours to do: Screen Time will take the App Store, Safari and the social apps off it, and a configuration profile holds that in place better than resolve does. The tradeoff is worth saying plainly. This is a full smartphone in a small case, so every limit on it is one you put there and can take off again. Apple stopped making it in September 2023 and has not made a small phone since, which is why the second-hand price has not fallen the way a four-year-old phone usually does.
